    Alice Panikian won the 35th International Queen of Coffee yesterday in Columbia. Back in August, the "Brunette Claudia Schiffer" had finished as a finalist at the Miss Universe Canada Toronto regional & was scheduled to compete at MUC 2006. What will happen now that she's won Coffee Queen?

    Miss HK 2002 1st RU Victoria Jolly left the entertainment circle to finish her studies in the UK 2 yrs ago. She graduated with top honours, finishing top 5 in her class. Her mother travelled to the UK to watch her only daughter graduate.

    Vickii recently returned home for the holidays. Though she's been away from the public eye for nearly a yr, people still recognize her. At an Orlane (makeup & cosmetics) event, someone called out her name, making Vickii very happy.

    "A lot of people recognized me in the UK when I graduated. I felt extremely honoured! I do miss the HK public, but since graduating, I found a job in public relations at a fitness center. I've been working there for four months now, & am enjoying it!"

    7 yrs is too long for a Ph.d.
    "I would like to study for a Ph.D. However 7 yrs is a bit too long. I would be over 30 by the time I finish! I'll work for the time being as I'd love to gain valuable work experience. In the future, if there's a chance to study I might go."

    Vickii is Orlane's spokesperson. Since she's living in the UK most of the time, Vickiiisn't able to attend some of Orlane's events."I've been Orlane's spokesperson for nearly a yr & a half. I believe we've worked really well together."

    VIckii enjoys playing soccer with friends
    "I like to rise & sleep early & exercise. I go to the gym three times a week & on the weekends, I'll play soccer with my friends, or we'll swim or play basketball. I'm not the greatest soccer player, but my friends love it & we all like to hang out & have fun."

    Other than exercising, Vickii will get 2 facials a week as the weather in the UK is a bit dry. She also eats a lot of fruits, tomatoes, & tries to avoid fried or oily foods. Since living away from home, she's had to cook for herself. "I can cook chicken & corn soup well."

    Vickii also revealed she's had a boyfriend for the past yr. "Olie is from the UK. At first we were good friends but the friendship blossomed into a wonderful relationship." He also bears a slight resemblance to Prince William! What a gorgeous couple!

    Since Katherine (Vickii's mom) was also present during the Orlane event, the Singpao asked her about Olie. "He's very impressive. A good boy, obedient & very hard-working as well. Although I was married at 25... I hope Vickii doesn't marry too early. She's just graduated from University & should concentrate on her work for now." Vickii concurs w/ her mom & said "I won't be rushing off to marry anytime soon, plus I don't think my mom wants to be a granny yet!". Vickii & her mom look more like sisters than mother & daughter. They are also very close & Vickii makes an effort to share everything w/ her parents. For now, she's concentrating on her career & would love to have a job which allows her to work & travel around the world. But if an opportunity arises in HK, she will return to her homeland.

    It's been nearly 1 yr since Leanne Li was crowned as MCI 2005. Since then, she's had to adjust to living & taking care of herself in HK as her family reside in Vancouver. She says "It's not too bad living alone. The MTR & bus are convenient & I can go anywhere. Even though I'm not too familiar w/ the roads, but there's much cute things to see in HK. The biggest difference between HK & Van is that ppl in HK are very fast paced".

    One of Leanne's favourite pasttime is painting/drawing. It was memorable thing for her in Canada was visiting art exhibits, as there's always something news to see, giving her much inspiration & ideas.

  • MISS HK 2005 TRACY IP CHUI CHUI NEWS *Translated from The Sun
    It seems like Miss HK Tracy Ip has been endlessly competing in pageants this year. Although she does feel a bit tired, her parents are always there for her, giving 100% support.

    Soon after competing at Miss HK, Tracy was off to Miss World. A month upon her return, she's getting ready to compete at Miss Chinese International 2006. She credits her parents for their love & support. "While competing in Sanya for Miss World, Mom & Dad flew from HK to cheer for me. Even though I lived at the hotel w/ the other Miss World contestants, we were prohibited from going out or even having dinner elsewhere. But my parents would wait at the hotel entrance for me each morning, supporting me. I was so touched & felt thankful to have them w/ me".

    Not in a hurry to film series
    Tracy is not in a hurry to act for tvb, as she's enjoying her charity work. "I have much to contribute in life, & I hope to devote some time volunteering & helping others in need". Recently, Tracy & some orphans visited a senior home & hope it brought them joy & warmth.
