Kin Fung, Myolie Wu Hung Yi, Marco Ngai Chun Kit, Lau Cheuk Kei
and others yesterday attended a costume fitting for Lau Ka Ho's
new television series about lawyers. In real life,
Myolie honestly
said that she would not hurt herself over love. When she was unhappy
she instead would choose to pig out and shop. As for working with
Liza Wong Ming Chuen
again, Myolie
said, "I am very glad to be working with
Ah Jeh again. This time she will play my mother and we don't have
to be conflicting like the last series. Am I worried about rumors
of living together since I am working with Chan
Kin Fung again? He has already moved. We don't
live in the same area anymore."

treated everyone to dessert. She explained, "Today is my

so I was the last to start and the first to finish."

Man Yuk earlier went to the French Impressionist art exhibit at
the invition of Hong Kong Art Museum before the exhibit ended.
Off
topic: I went to the same exhibit a month ago while I was in HK!
Loved the exhibit...never thought I'd get to see it live, especially
Claude Monet's Cathedral pieces.

attended a beauty event with Cerina Da Graca (Ga Bik Yi).
Cerina having competed
in the Miss Hong Kong pageant paid attention to the recruitment.
She wanted to recommend someone to participate but to no avial.
"My friends and family are all over the age limit. My classmates
who went to study in America have no Hong Kong resident identification
card so they can't help." She also felt that the pageant's
location shoot at the South Asia tsunami area was especially meaningful.
She too would like a chance to go. "The event arrangements
should be safe. I just renewed my TVB contract. I hope I can try
hosting."

KCCW again. A commercial was secretly taped a few days ago &
a lot of time was spent in casting the female character of the
commercial. In the end, Leon
chose reigning Miss HK, Kate Tsui!
The crew & its cast went to Japan for filming.
Although it was the first time Leon
& Kate
have worked together, they were said to have great chemistry.
Kate's
acting experience is still progressing but Leon
was patiently teaching her & giving her advice during the
shoot. She’s improved quite a bit & Leon
said he found a lot of potential from her.

Miss Latina Canada
World 2005 was held last night at Markham Theatre
(Toronto, Canada). The show was spectacular, displaying the spirit
of the beautiful Latino culture. There were numerous dance performances
by dance pros...perhaps a bit too much as we were all on the edge
of our seats, anticipating the results through the well-organized
3 hr show. The pageant was hosted by Roanna
Sabeh Azar & proceeds from the raffles were
donated to Fragile
X Research Foundation of Canada.
Winner was 20 year old Daniela
Cruz of Etobicoke, who's a 2nd year York University
student. She was the clear winner from start to finish, displaying
poise, beauty, confidence & intelligence. During the interviews,
she ROCKED & it was critical as the interviews were worth 50%
of the final score (30% gown, 20% swimsuit).
1st RU Paolo Medina
had one of the best gowns of the competition (strapless
satin mint green) & delivered a great interview during the final
question.
2nd RU Michelle Roscano
was absolutely mezmerizing in the evening gown segment. Her gown
was perfect for the occasion (white, long, & flowy) & she
moved with grace & elegance.
Hats off to everyone, especially Stefany
Singh (president of
ES Team Productions), as it was her first pageant production. It
was pretty darn impressive! Special thanks to pageant pro Jimmy
Steele for inviting me to the lovely show. I had
so much fun!

It was reported in Oriental Weekly that Joyce
Cheng (Yun-Yee), daughter of popular HK TV icons
Adam Cheng & Lydia Shum
will be joining Miss HK this year. For those who aren't familiar
with Yun-Yee, she
was a teen who had some health issues due to obesity. Last yr,
she signed with a diet company (which prob. includes scarfing
down pills) & worked together to take off some weight. She's
successfully lost at least 100 lbs. At the time, Yun-Yee
claimed the purpose of slimming down was for health reasons. However,
during a recent interview, she was caught saying "I was fat
and now i'm beautiful and confident'. What kind of message is
this sending to women?????????? Let's just hope this is one bad
nightmare.

News Roundup
Roger Kwok, Winnie Yeung and Bosco
Wong were filming with the crew of "Legend
of Ah Wong" at Olympian City in a scene that tells of Ah Wong
wearing a 3D Globe Outfit as a promotion on the street, where he
meets his former teacher Winnie Yeung.
Ah Wong's costume was very sweet and together with his flinging
arms, he made the heavily pregnant Winnie laugh out loud as an early
present for the baby.
Winnie
's baby is due in June and with her bump
looking rather big, she was asked if she was expecting twins. She
replied that she is not: "This is a baby girl and I am a little
worried because my husband was over 9 lbs when he was born and I
don't know if this baby will break his record!"
Roger
was especially protective of Winnie,
saying: "We hope to complete all her scenes first so she can
go home".

DOZENS OF young women strutted their stuff and met with judges yesterday
during the Toronto casting call for the Miss World Canada pageant.
Judges will choose five women to represent Toronto in the Canadian
finals this summer.
"This is about more than beauty," pageant
hopeful Jenna-Lee Creelman,
21, said at the Holiday Inn on King St. W.
The York University student (pictured 2nd from left)
said she chose the Miss World pageant over others because of its
emphasis on charity and strength of character.
"Some pageants are about more makeup and higher
heels," she said. "But this recognizes our commitments
to the community."
Judges saw a cultural cross-section of nearly 40
women between the ages of 19 and 24.
"These women all share a strong sense of womanhood
and purpose," judge Roanna Sabeh-Azar
said.
The winner of Miss
World Canada will travel to China this fall to compete
against women from 106 other countries for Miss World 2005.
