Sept 16th - Miss Chinese Toronto 2003, Sarina Lee
Looking more beautiful than ever, Sarina Lee was at Toronto's Pacific Mall recently as a spokesmodel for 'Beauty Spa'. The event lasted approximately 3 hrs, with well-known FTV host Beckham as the MC. Beauty Spa announced & spoke of the procedures Sarina will be going through to show the effects of the new equipment they have received from Hong Kong.

Although Sarina has become a mini celebrity in Toronto, she is still pursuing her studies at the University of Toronto. She hopes to become a successful business woman someday as well as balancing family life. This past year, she has taken participated in some shows for FTV (ie: Talent search singing competition), became spokesperson for various products, & even volunteered at the Hospital for Sick Children in downtown Toronto.

Applications for Miss Chinese Toronto 2004 are closed, and it is only certain that FTV will be selecting candidates who exudes the qualities of MCT 03 Sarina Lee, as well as the winners before her. The contestant list should be out by mid October.

Baby News
Theresa Lee (MHK 94 2nd ru) & fiancé Corey welcomed a 7 lbs baby boy on Sep 3rd. No word on the baby's name but Theresa isn't over with showbiz just yet!

Winnie Yeung (MHK 95) was charged with speeding in early 2004, but failed to pay the penalty in Aug which could have resulted in an arrest from the court. To make a long story short, everything's been settled & Winnie ended up paying the fine.

Cissy Wang (MCT 00) & husband Donnie Yen were at the premiere of Yen's movie "HERO" which also stars Tony Leung Chui-Wai, Maggie Cheung Man-Yuk (MHK 83 1st ru), Zhang Zi-yi. Cissy was spoted in a gorgeous silver dress!

Yang Jin is an undergraduate from Chungqing of China. 20 years of age, 176cm tall, weighs at 52kg. She is certainly more beautiful than last year's representative Quan Qi.

The finals were held in Toronto's York Event Theatre on Sept 9th 2004. Contestants from all over Canada spent a few days in TO where they engaged in a cruise tour around the Toronto Islands, CN Tower visit, Pajama party where they view the MW 2003 video with Nazanin, 2 day trip up north in Muskoka resort (Taboo), & much more!

The results were quite fair this yr. Winner, Tijana was a major standout on day 1, as was the 2nd RU Victoria. They were both from the Ottawa region & coached by Yolaine (MWC 03 2nd RU) & Lenny Grant. The beautiful 1st RU Marie-Andrée was another strong contender. She had also finished 2nd last year when Nazanin claimed the title. 4th RU Natalie Mec bears a slight resemblance to Oxsana Federova, while 4th RU Sherylynn was one of the sweetest girls of the competition. MCI 01 contestant #16 Lilly Hua was also present but unfortunately did not place. She is a truly beautiful in person inside & out. it was a pleasure meeting her!
