Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant was established in 1985. The pageant is usually held in October. The winner of the pageant will participate at Miss Chinese International Pageant, held in Hong Kong in January. Miss Chinese Montreal Pageant is opened to young women age 17-25, and who live in the Montreal Area.

Montreal's best results came in 1993 when Christy Chung captured the Miss Chinese International title. But it was Hazel Cheung who domainted the first crown for all of Canada back in 1991. A decade later, Jennifer Huang placed second at MCI 2001, while Kalyane Tea placed third at MCI 1998.
