Cher Yeung went on to act for tvb. She was stunning during the Finals. She went on to Miss Universe where she was unplaced, and since her reign, little has been heard of her. However, she did attend Pauline Yeung's 2002 wedding to Nelson Wong. We can certainly say that she's aged very well.

Today, 1st runner-up Maggie Cheung has the biggest acting career of all in Miss HK history. She is a Cannes Best Actress, Berlin Best Actress, five-time Hong Kong Film Award and five-time Taiwan Golden Horse winning Chinese actress from Hong Kong. Raised in England, she has over 70 films to her credit since starting her career in 1983. She is the first Asian actress to win a prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Maggie went to Miss World 1983 where she placed top 15. However, some said her horrible gown caused her to place lower at Miss World. She was definitely capable of placing higher, and was strong in interviews as she was educated in the UK. Maggie divorced her husband Olivier Assayas in the 2000s.

2nd Runner-up Eve Lee had a creative interview that year, and impressed everyone with it, as she had to make up certain scenarios in a particular order in which the MC had listed out. She is the second Miss HK winner to drop her crown during the cornation. The first was Miss HK 1974 while being crowned by Suen Wing-yun.
