Miss Hong Kong 1975 Mary Cheung was like the modern day Cinderella. She was raised in an orphanage (Po Leung Kuk), and became one of the favourites for the crown. Overall, she was extremely gracious & elegant on stage.

First runner-up Teresa Chu had one's daughter (Catherine Chan Wai-Che) competed as #1 at the Miss Hong Kong 1999 pageant. She did not make the semi-finals. Teresa did quite well at MHK '75, bagging the friendship award & 1st RU position.

Miss Photogenic Lucia Szeto was also nominated by Irene Man Yee-Jing (previously nominated MHK 74 Jojo Cheung). This was also the first year in which special awards were distributed. Lucia had one of the most humorous & somewhat witty interviews of the night, making everyone in the audience laugh.

#16 Chiquita Kwong became the first delegate to compete in Miss HK twice! (1973, and 1975). She looked much better in '75 as Chiquita had on heavy eye make-up & false lashes in '73. It was so over the top that I accidentally screamed while watching the clip with some friends. She was like a ghost!
