Formerly known as Miss
Greater Chinatown NYC Beauty Pageant, the
Miss Chinese New York Beauty Pageant
welcomes applications from all single females of Chinese
descent between the age of 17 and 25, who are US citizens
or residents. The main goal of this event is to increase
cultural awareness for young American women. The winner
will represent the city of New York at the annual
Miss Chinese International Pageant,
organized by TVB.
New York captured the
International title once back in 1999, won by Michelle
Yee. Other success includes 1st Runner-p
titles (1994 Diane Wang,
& 2005 Fala Chen),
& a 2nd Runner-up title in 1996 (Amy
Chung)
