L-R:
Mandy Cho, Linda Chung, Carlene Aguilar
Linda
Chung became the 3rd Vancouverite in 4 yrs to
win the MCI crown. She also resembles past Miss Asia
winners 1986 Nina Li & 1995 Kristy Yang..although
Linda is much more elegant than the two. During
the finals, Linda shined in all segments, showing
us her intelligence during her interview, where she
was quite articulate & creative, as well as her
gorgeous presence on stage. She performed the hoola
hoop during the top 5 talent segment, which was the
same routine from MCV.
Mandy
Cho wasn't as sharp as she was back in Miss HK.
Nevertheless, she looked pretty in all segments, &
it was nice to see a congenial delegate win the Friendship
award. Mandy was also one of the fittest delegates
of the competition.
Manila's
Carlene Aguilar was simply charming & won
the Best Smile award very deservingly. She had wonderful
presence & a gorgeous face. She memorized aChinese
poem as her talent...but what was more impressive
was that she did not know a word of Chinese.
Miss
Kuala Lumpur was absolutely robbed of a top 3 position.
Vivien looked beautiful in all segments, had
the best figure, was articulate during the interviews,
a Univ. student, talent....the girl had it all. What
had gone wrong? Perhaps she needed the HK sash.
