Annie's win was well deserved & was the obvious winner from the start. She had the height, education, and a winner's combination look of Bernice Liu (MCV '00) & Crystal Pan (MCV '99). What better package could a girl ask for?Her talent was also excellent, and displayed her musicality on the 'chinese piano' (What's is the name of that instrument?). She appeared very ladylike and elegant. Annie went on to compete at MCI 03, where she was unplaced but many thought she deserved a top 5 placement that year.

Alice Kai is known to be the delegate who showed much dedication during the pageant. The Miss Friendship award was no suprise at all to the delegates, who truly believe Alice is the most congenial! Looking at pictures, the best posture award was really between #4 Melanie, #6 Alice, and #7 Cynthia. In the end, Alice won it. Some believe that Alice lost in height, as she had the maturity and mannerisms of a young lady.

Sabrina did not have the winner's look. But her flirtatious character won over the judges. Her talent was an interesting choice and performed a Hawaiian dance. Her performance was average that night and did not shine at all. #1 Olivia finished 4th although it was not revealed during the finals.
